2nd Low Voltage Workshop

At the end of September the 2nd Low Voltage workshop will take place in Aachen.
After the admission of Phase I of the Forschungscampus Flexible Electrical Networks and the establishment of the Medium Voltage consortium in March 2014, the Low Voltage consortium is now to be initiated.

Research Areas of the Low Voltage consortium:

BEYOND Silicon

• Creating new electrical conversion concepts
• Enabling high efficient supply systems and power flow management
• Smart systems and applications enabled by new devices

BEYOND Fit-and-Forget

• Evaluation of future key product demands and consumer behavior
• Exploring new services/concepts to provide additional customer benefits
• DC@Home: assemble smart & energy sustainable communities

BEYOND Smart Grid

• Information exchange (Energy usage and intelligent management)
• Thermal vs. electrical storage management – Providing energy pertaining to the user demand
• Multi-energy carrier operations
