RESERVE (Renewables in a Stable Electric Grid) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 727481”.
The project RESERVE is aimed at developing new techniques and solutions based on 5G technology in order to ensure a more stable operation of the future energy system with a high proportion of renewable energy sources.
As one project partner, the FEN GmbH on behalf of FEN Research Campus is leader of the work package dedicated to the communication and dissemination activities. In this role, FEN will develop the necessary communication interfaces, like workshops between the project participants and the public, stakeholders as well as interest groups. The goal is to create awareness of the concepts, technologies and the innovation activities within the project. Moreover, it supports the active cooperation with the relevant stakeholders, in particular with the energy community, to ensure constant feedback to the project and to prepare the ground for large-scale uptake of the project results.
The project started on October 1, 2016 with a term of three years and supported by eleven partners from industry, academia and utilities. It is led by Ericsson Eurolab in Aachen and is funded with five million euros.
